This book is primarily a history of Capt. Robert Tucker Sr (c1677-1750), his seven sons, and their descendants as they migrated up to about 1850, through the southside Virginia Counties of Charles City, Prince George, Amelia, Nottoway, Prince Edward, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Halifax and Pittsylvania.

Years before Tucker Townsend had promised to marry Ginny Brown. Now he's back in town after having been engaged to some one else and broken that engagement. Ginny is still single and still waiting, much to the annoyance of at least one of the towns bachelors. He has not come back to claim Ginny. Instead he has come back to ask her help in finding his way back to God.

This book is something that we'll all want to read. It really helps you to remember your hunts. It was easy to follow and a great start to a good turkey season.

This book is so adorable. My chileren love it. We have read it so often, the book is starting to wear.
I have even used this book in a preschool classroom to show likes and differences, an elementary class to discuss not giving up and even a toddler class for animals. Every child enjoyed it. I hope the others come out soon.

St George Tucker's " View of the Constitution of the United States" is a great contribution to political science. Tucker presents a view of the US Constitution from a Jeffersonian point of view. He correctly shows the limited nature of the federal government, and explores the powers delegated to it. Tucker also
shows how the powers not delegated are reserved to the states and the people. He also reiterates the sovereignty of the people through the states and rejects an all powerful federal government. He rejects the Federalist view that the Constitution created an organic nation consolidated into one government. A must read for a person who believes in freedom.

This realistic remembrance of a family learning to love together is heartwarming. A daughter's favorite bedtime story represents so well the egocentric world of a child. "Tell me the one about when I was a baby..." Mothers and fathers alike will relate- and remember. This one is a keeper, to be passed down through the generations!

Starting school brings about many new emotions in children. Will You Come Back for Me? by Ann Tompert addresses a child's fear and anxiety about being separated from mom. The child in this story is dispondent after mother leaves and just watches for her return. The mother calms the child and tells her she is leaving her heart with the child and will surely return to her. She crafts a heart for the child to carry with her as a reminder. The child then makes new friends at school, knowing her mother will return. An excellent, feel-good, warm and fuzzy book. I would recommend reading it to any child who is beginning preschool or daycare, or any child who is having trouble separating from mom.

An excellent all around workbook for adult literacy or even ESL learners. Mixes up creative drill exercises with word find and crossword puzzles to make it a little more fun. Also covers parts of speech, suffixes and exceptions to the rules. I had great success with this book as a tutor with READ/San Diego in California.
